We are going WILD this June with #30DaysWild

It has already started! And if you follow us on Instagram and Twitter, you will have noticed that on Friday was the start of the yearly amazing 30 Days Wild.

30 Days Wild is a free countrywide challenge initiated by the Wildlife Trusts to help you reconnect with nature by doing a random act of wildness every day during June. This year is our third year taking part and we have been really looking forward to doing it again!

So far we have made Elderflower Cordial, early this year as elderflower seems to be out quite early and doesn’t keep its fragrant aroma for too long. We have had a wild picnic, picked a bunch of wild flowers, spotted the amazing Blue Fritillary Butterfly and walked in super tall grass.

There are a lot of things you can do every day and it’s not too late to join in! We have made a list of ideas, including rainy days or work days where there’s not a lot of time before bed.

Ideas for your 30 Days Wild

  • Have a wild picnic
  • Have a bug hunt

I hope that has whet your appetite! If you are taking part, please use the hashtag #30DaysWild on social media to share the fun with thousands of families across the country. There is also a Twitter account that you can follow and a Facebook group you can join for even more inspiration.

I look forward to seeing what you get up to!
