Celebrating New Year’s Eve in Style with Tot Rockin’ Beats

Happy New Year! We hope you’ve all had a fab break and got some time to spend with your loved ones?

Worthing Mums took a complete break over the holidays and it was much needed. I have the luxury of not needing to go to work for the whole of the holiday period and I try to make the most of it.

I wanted to make you aware of an event I attended on New Year’s Eve: Tot Rockin’ Beats NYE was organised by the very lovely, self acclaimed “multi-faceted digital revolution for dads” Don’t Believe the Hype. I was invited to take a few photos to capture the essence of the event: bringing old and young together, enabling parents to see out the old year with good music, drinks, their children and an early finish time.

I have to say, I had a blast!

1000 tickets were sold and the atmosphere was fantastic. There really was a broad range of ages represented and I saw a lot of fun being had. There was the DJ in the main hall, playing some really good, non-cheesy 90s tunes, a Bee-Fit disco, football tables, face painting, food AND ice cream by Gioseppe’s Restaurant, a big soft-play area. The New Year countdown happened at 6 pm with a Wurlitzer Organ rising from the floor playing a fantastic medley of old seaside classics and modern music to sing along to.

Everyone had a good boogie and a little drinkie but still got home in time for littlies to go to bed, saving on babysitter expenses and temper tantrums the next day.

I was really impressed with all the details that were thought through really well, like security guards making sure no little ones escape accidentally, wrist bands for the kids with parent mobile numbers, photo props for guests to capture the evening, I could go on.

I’m now really divided between taking my boys and leaving the camera at home next time or doing the photos again (if they’ll have me :)). Both would be very enjoyable! Well done Tot Rockin’ Beats!

Here are some of my snaps
