Tell us about you and your family
I absolutely love being outdoors; hiking, cycling, swimming, paddle boarding and BBQing down the beach. My husband Rico and I have two children; Izzi (11) and Matteo (8). We are an adventurous family and love to explore new places and not being from here, it feels like an adventure living on the South Coast, exploring all the great places the South Coast has to offer. My husband (who is half Italian) loves to cook and so does Matteo, which is great for Izzi and I, as I cook as a necessity!
Are you originally from Hove?
I’m originally from New Zealand and my husband is South African/Italian. We met in 2000 and spent many years in London. The kids were born in New Zealand and we have been back in the UK for 7 years now. We love the UK; my family are from Barnham, maybe that’s why I love Sussex so much!
Beach or South Downs?
This is a hard one as we love nature and the South Downs are beautiful! But I have to be by the sea! We swim a lot, cycle at the beach and a lot of what we do revolves around the coast, so I have to say beach.
Tell us an unusual fact about yourself
I love seeing mediums and connecting with my spirit guides when I have the chance, maybe every 2 years or so, I find it really fascinating. Other than that, I think I’m good at the moonwalk…although no one in my family agrees…
If you could spend the day with any celebrity or historical figure, who would it be?
It would have to be Gandhi, I would love to listen and learn about his philosophy in life
Finally, tell us about your business, why you started and what drives you on?
For the past four years, my colleague Josie Moyce and I ran a company called Nature Shop which was an ethical clothing company. I hadn’t owned a business before and in the early days, I felt like I was in a minefield trying to figure out all the different aspects. We wished and wished that there was a company out there who had been through it and who could give us honest and genuine advice.
Now, with four years of experience under our belts, we thought, why shouldn’t that be us? And so Tamazi Freelance and Fulfilment was born! We offer small businesses support in areas that they need help with or don’t have time to do; including fulfilment and dispatch, marketing, content writing and website design.
At Tamazi we’ve been there, and we understand the challenges. If you want a freelance company that understands your needs and will be as passionate as you about your brand and products, then we’re the company to get in touch with!
