Who’s getting excited about Worthing’s very own star-studded pantomime extravaganza?
I know that we are! It will be our family’s first trip to a panto with our two children, aged three and six. They both love the story of Aladdin, and my daughter especially idolises Princess Jasmine so I’m sure they’re going to love it!
Featuring the well-loved tale of poor Aladdin who hopes that his dreams will come true when he finds a magical lamp and the genie inside it who will grant him three wishes.
Aladdin longs for fame, fortune and to marry the beautiful Princess Jasmine await but first he defeat the wicked sorcerer Abanazar, who himself wants the lamp. With his ever-faithful mother, dame Widow Twankey and brother Wishee Washee by his side, Aladdin commands great courage in this classic tale of good overcoming evil.
The show features dazzling scenery and costumes, as well as breathtaking special effects plus plenty of mayhem, magic laughter and traditional audience participation!
Aladdin stars two brilliant performers in Lee Latchford-Evans from Steps and Rebecca Keatley from CBeebies. They bring with them a wealth of music and theatre experience as well as great family appeal.
The show also welcomes Vikki Stone as the evil Abanzar, Mark Jones as Wishee Washee and Dave Lynn as Widow Twankey. Plus, if you listen carefully you won’t be able to miss the booming voice of Brian Blessed as the genie in the lamp!
