Tomorrow sees the start of a band new exciting festival in Brighton. Starboard Festival has something all for children and young people from 0 to 21. It’s promising to be packed with outdoor performances and workshops by and for toddlers and teens.

The festival starts tomorrow at 4 pm at the Brighton Open Air Theatre (BOAT) with a big celebratory launch Starboardpicnic. The festival will run for 16 days with over 20 performances. But not only will there be stuff to watch, there is workshops to take part in, encouraging young people to get involved in the production and performing themselves.

There is a huge line-up, poetry, pirates, superheros, Shakespeare, acting masterclasses and much, much more.

Many of the performances are by local school children and local performing arts companies. Join in the fun and see the full line up here: Line up.

To stay in the loop with all the events, check out Facebook and Twitter.

We will be back later to report on a show we’re going to see. (pssst, it’s “HOW TO BE A SUPERHERO”!)
